At BibahoBangla, we respect your right to privacy and control over your personal data. This Data Deletion Policy explains how you can request the deletion of your personal information from our matrimony platform and mobile applications.

How to Request Data Deletion

You have the right to delete your personal data at any time, using any of these methods:

In the App (fastest)

Open the Bibaho Bangla app, go to Settings, tap Delete Account and confirm with your password. Your account, biodata, photos, messages and verification recording are deleted immediately, without contacting anyone. Photos and videos are removed from our servers within 24 hours and from backups within 90 days.

Once we receive your deletion request by email, here's what happens (deleting in the app or on the website is immediate):

What Gets Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:

• Profile Information: All personal details, photos, and biodata
• Communication History: Messages, chats, and interaction logs
• Preferences: Search preferences and saved profiles
• Activity Data: Login history, app usage, and engagement metrics
• Device Information: Associated device IDs and IP addresses

Data Retention Exceptions

Certain data may be retained for legal or security reasons, including:

• Legal Obligations: Data required by law (tax records, legal disputes)
• Fraud Prevention: Information needed to prevent abuse or fraud
• Security: Data necessary for security investigations
• Aggregated Data: Anonymized analytics that cannot identify you
• Backup Systems: Temporary retention in backups (up to 90 days)

All retained data will be stored securely and deleted once the retention period expires.

Third-Party Services

BibahoBangla uses third-party services for various functions. When you request data deletion, we also initiate deletion from:

• Firebase/Google Services: Authentication and analytics data
• Cloud Storage: Photos and documents stored in cloud services
• Analytics Providers: User behavior and app performance data

Please note that third-party services may have their own data retention policies. We encourage you to contact them directly if you have concerns.

Important Considerations

• Once deleted, your account and data cannot be recovered
• You will lose access to all messages, connections, and matches
• You'll need to create a new account if you wish to use our services again
• Your profile will be removed from other users' match lists and chat histories

Before Deleting: Consider temporarily deactivating your account instead if you're unsure. This keeps your data but hides your profile.
